In Ostia Antica, archaeologists discovered a hall decorated with 4th-century A.D. marbles, today preserved in the Museum of Civilizations in Rome. Among its scenes stands out a small portrait of a figure with a halo and blessing gesture, which some scholars have identified as Christ.
